Under the porch steps.
May. 9th, 2009 12:54 pmI don't remember what book it was that I read it in, but it was a farm book talking about sick animals - when they're sick, they'll go hide somewhere, under the porch or in the barn, until they either die or emerge better. I'm sick, and while I'm still under those steps, I think I'm poking my head out. Great. I'm at the point where I could go into a tech call and not be a danger to anyone. (That's not to say I'm not contagious, but I wouldn't fall or drop anything.)
Man, that final week took a lot out of me.
I have no idea what I would have done this summer if I hadn't gotten this job. I should remember this next year, and remind myself that places expect to be turned down so it is okay to apply to more than one.
Summer goals: Get up to NYC and see Hair. This has been on the list since before March. Now it's got 8 Tony noms. I'm proud, for no real reason. Though as someone else said, "When the second half of your show is basically an acid trip, you better have good lighting!"
Note to self: Remail to the General with apologies.
